Sushi
I started eating sushi in middle school, and one of the first rolls I ever tried was a Philadelphia roll. Trying it gave me the confidence to explore all the different types of sushi and flavors that this cuisine has to offer. Today, my favorite thing to order is hamachi jalapeño with ponzu sauce, and if I'm getting rolls, I usually choose a rainbow roll for the variety. I also love that many sushi restaurants in New Mexico put their own twist on traditional sushi by offering rolls made with tempura green chile.

Steak
I'm very particular about my steak. If it's overcooked, it ruins the entire meal for me. I always order my steak medium rare, and sirloin is my favorite because I love how tender it is. At home, I've perfected my favorite way to cook it. After bringing the steak to room temperature and seasoning it generously with salt and pepper, I sear one side in a hot cast iron skillet with LOTS of butter for about 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness. Then I flip it once and transfer the skillet to a 400-degree oven for another 5 to 8 minutes. It comes out juicy and perfectly cooked every time.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
I love chocolate-covered strawberries because every bite has the perfect combination of textures and flavors. The first bite has that satisfying crunch from the chocolate shell, followed by the sweet, juicy strawberry underneath. As the chocolate and strawberry come together, it's the perfect mix of rich chocolate and fresh fruit, and it's easily one of my favorite desserts.
