Creativity, Strategy & Story Telling

Creativity has always been a way to communicate, tell stories, and connect with people. Music and songwriting have been a big part of that for years, and more recently, photography and digital media have created even more ways to be creative. There is something exciting about capturing a moment in a photograph, telling a story through a song, or starting with an idea and watching it come to life visually. Studying Digital Media Arts has provided the chance to explore photography, design, animation, web design, and digital storytelling, while also learning how these different forms of media can work together. Creating something that feels authentic and has a purpose is important, especially when it can make someone stop for a moment, look a little closer, listen, or simply feel something.

Finding out that The Strategist is the Creative Type actually makes a lot of sense. There has always been a tendency to see the bigger picture, think about what an idea could become, and then figure out how to make it happen. Years of working in process improvement and problem solving strengthened that way of thinking, and now those same skills are finding their way into more personal and creative work. The Strategist is about turning ideas into action, but one of the biggest areas for growth is trusting your own vision. That part really stands out. This chapter is not only about learning new tools and becoming a better artist, but also about trusting creative instincts, trying new things, and discovering a personal style and voice along the way.
